TYPOS: I type terribly. I only notice them after a post has been reblogged a few times. And then I fix it. After it's too late.
NOW SCROLL DOWN
January DC solicits- no single issues that month from DC for me. Everything is either stuff I’d be collecting in trades anyway: Aquaman, Wonder Woman in Sensation Comics, Smallville. But I’m dropping Batwoman now that it’s a team book. May pick up the rebooted Batgirl. I also might pick up American Vampire Second Cycle when it’s out in trade.
Or it’s stuff I don’t care about. Not even Damian coming back.. with superpowers? I stopped being invested in that storyline a while ago.
DC movies- no new news since I last checked, but still excited for at least half of them.
Marvel Comics- uhhhh are they just redoing a bunch of event comics that they’ve done before? (Civil War, Marvel Zombies, Days Of Future Past, Planet Hulk, etc). The only one I’ve read out of those was the original Days Of Future Past, and saw the movie (and 90s cartoon based on it)… I don’t need a 4th version.
I hear SpiderGwen is getting her own ongoing though, so I’ll pick that up whenever it’s out. And continue to collect BlackWidow and SheHulk in trades.
Marvel movie rumors- not believing any of them until they are thoroughly confirmed by multiple reliable sources.
I thought I didn’t need to lock up my bike when riding it this weekend. It was cool weather, the kids and teens aren’t running around like they do in the summer, and all I saw walking around were old folks. So I left it at the start of a small trail while I walked to the end to get a better view of the water. I walk back when I hear two old women talking, admiring and taking my bike. Must have been in her 80’s… white curly hair and a pink tracksuit and an Irish accent outright admits she was going to take it before she saw me walking back for it. Then demanded I sell it to her a few times. (her friend kept trying to kindly suggest this wasn’t the bike she wanted). I could have wrestled it away from her easily but I don’t want to get in a fight with a gramma. I tell her several places she can buy one like it and she finally lets me have it back.
No way am I parting with that bike (either of my 2 bikes). This one is the turquoise one… I looked a long time for a turquoise bike because I was jealous of a friend who had one in the 80s. It’s the nice one…. or it was when I got it over a decade ago… has some little rust spots I need to clean up one day. There’s another one I have that’s older… covered in painted designs from when I was 13/14. That one still needs one new tire before it’s really ride-able.
I guess you can’t trust anyone these days. Not even sweet-looking old folks.
